QB involved in skirmish as tempers flare at Ga. Tech

ATLANTA (AP) -- It's bad news all around when a starting quarterback tosses a starting defensive end to the ground on the last play of an intrasquad scrimmage.

It's worse when at least a dozen players jump into the dispute.

Georgia Tech coach Chan Gailey was less than pleased to see his quarterback, Taylor Bennett, involved in contact following his only interception in Saturday's full-pads scrimmage at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Gailey was even more upset to see the resulting altercation escalate into a short-lived melee involving as many as 15 to 20 players.
